If you read my JCPenny Santa Tag post, you might remember me mentioning that I was also a part of their Secret Santa Blog Tour via Mom Central! Can I just tell all of you how much fun this was? Not only did I get to pick out a cool gift from JCPenny.com for a blogger and record them a special message, but I also got a gift from another blogger too!
First let me tell you a little bit about the gift I picked out….
I was the Secret Santa Blogger for Mariania at The Domestic Buzz, a really cool blog that I hadn’t heard of until then (bonus on finding a new blog to follow through this). I really wanted to get Mariania something nice so I started looking a jewelry with her favorite animals (frogs and dogs). I saw some really, really cute things, but they weren’t even close to the $50 value I needed for the gift. So I decided to chance it and go another route. I saw this beautiful necklace and couldn’t resist getting it for her:
Just in case you’re wondering I did check her blog to make sure she was a mom before getting this (I know the tour is throuh Mom Central, but you can never be too careful). LOL
I really feel that us mom’s rarely treat ourselves to nice things and every mom deserves to have at least one nice piece of jewelry other than our wedding ring. Luckly Mariana agreed with me – she loved what I chose enough to let it inspire a gift she chose for a friend! This made me so happy! I just LOVE giving gifts! There is nothing better than seeing the look of happiness on someones face when you give them something they like.
My Secret Santa Blogger turned out to be Jennifer from The Rebel Chick. Turns out both of us have the same love of red purses, which made us a great match! I gave her the links to a few that I liked and she chose The Mondani Mott Tote for me. Here is a pic of my beautiful new purse:
We have great taste, don’t we? Not only was the purse cool, but so was the Santa Tag message. It was a really nice touch to get to hear Jennifer’s voice and her personal message, telling me how much she loves red purses too! I’m pretty sure if we met, we’d get along famously! Thank you so much Jennifer, for the awesome gift and message! I love my purse!!!
Also a special thank you to JCPenny and Mom Central for allowing me to participate in this blog tour. I really feel that the Santa Tags are one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a long time and getting to participate in the tour was tons of fun!
For all of you who are on the lookout for gift ideas here are some great ideas provided by JCPenny.
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of jcpenney and received a jcpenney Secret Santa gift and a promotional item to thank me for participating.
