Review: Maggie Bags

It’s no secret that I’m a purse addict; a cute purse never fails to make me happy.  This is why I was nothing short of ecstatic when Maggie Bags agreed to be a sponsor for the Winter Blues Giveaway Event!

About Maggie Bags

Maggie Bags are made out of “automotive seat belt webbing” that was rejected by the government and deemed unable to be installed in a vehicle, due to the high standards.  Maggie Bags takes the rejected seat belt webbing and uses as much as possible to create their stylish bags.   Admittedly the demand for their bags have grown and has caused them to have to purchase webbing that wasn’t rejected, but they are committed to using the rejected webbing whenever it is available.  Their pledge to create stylish and environmentally friendly bags for their customers is one they take very seriously.

I received the beautiful Butterfly Bag from Maggie Bags to facilitate my review and I couldn’t have been more thrilled with it!  It’s funny, I know full well that Maggie Bags are made out of seat belt webbing, but it still surprised me a bit that the bag feels like seat belts that are stitched together (yeah I’m not always the sharpest tool in the shed lol).  The seat belts give the bag a cool, sturdy feel.  They also make it a little heavier than your average purse, but I wasn’t bother by that because it was obvious the bag was really well made on top of being super cute!

One of the things that I never realized about Maggie Bags was that their bags are lined in the most beautiful, rich colors.  The black is lined in a gorgeous fuchsia pink, that makes me happy each and every time I look inside the bag.

If you look closely you’ll also see a spot for your cell phone, on the right and a great zipper pocket, that I love.  The butterfly area in the front of the bag also serves as pocket and is lined in the same fuchsia.

Fabulous, isn’t it?  Not only is this bag stylish, but the best part is, it was made in an environmentally friendly way.  I feel proud when I wear it on my shoulder and I love telling everyone how my Maggie Bag is made and about the company!  It makes a fantastic conversation piece!
